Carissa M. Barina, M.D. graduated from Purdue University, earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her Ophthalmology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She has a Master of Science Degree in Pathology from Indiana University.
Dr. Barina is a Board Certified Ophthalmic Surgeon and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Medical Women's Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology, and Indianapolis Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Barina is a volunteer faculty member at Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. She specializes in cataract care and surgery, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma treatment, laser vision correction, macular degeneration, and comprehensive eye exams.
