Important Announcement Regarding the Shelburn Program

AFTER MUCH THOUGHT AND CONSIDERATION, SENIOR EDUCATION MINISTRIES HAS MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CANCEL THE SHELBURN DINE WITH A DOC PROGRAM EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY DUE TO CONTINUED LOW ATTENDANCE,

Since 2017, we have worked faithfully to serve the seniors and veterans in this community through this program. We have promoted it through television, radio, flyers, press releases, and word of mouth, with the sincere hope of growing participation and meeting a need in the community.

We are deeply grateful to the doctors, nurse practitioners, health professionals, and speakers who have generously volunteered their time and expertise to educate and encourage our seniors and veterans. Out of respect for their time and commitment, we feel it is no longer appropriate to continue asking them to serve when attendance does not reflect the value of their efforts.

To those who have attended, supported, and valued the Shelburn program, please know how much we appreciate you. We are truly sorry for any disappointment this decision may cause.

We warmly invite you to attend any of our other monthly Dine with a Doc® locations, where we will continue providing education, fellowship, and resources for seniors and veterans.

This was not an easy decision, and we are saddened to see the Shelburn program come to an end. Thank you to everyone who has supported it over the years.
